In this quick tutorial, I’ll tell you about “How to Change Facebook Page Username & URL” and what are the benefits of this.

First, let’s talk about what is Facebook page username and URL and what are the benefits of a good username.

If I tell you in easy language, username & URL is a unique address for your Facebook Page.

If I talk about my page. My page address or URL is www.facebook.com/myblogmantra

And here myblogmantra is my Facebook page username.

The benefit of a username is that people can remember it easily and they can search your page easily. They can also tag your page easily.

Good thing is that you can set your favorite username if it’s available.

First, let’s know what are some guidelines for a Facebook page username-

The number 1 guideline is Username should be available. 

2nd is Username should not contain any space, underscore, special characters, .com, or any generic name.

Number 3 is your profile shouldn’t new

Number 4 is you haven’t created more than one page recently

And last is your Facebook page has a minimum of 25 likes.

With time, Facebook can change these rules and guidelines.

Before changing the username, I would like to tell you that Facebook doesn’t allow changing name & username very frequently. 

Now let’s see How to change Facebook page username.

First, you have to open your page.

Now on the left side, you will see a see more button. Click on it.

After clicking you will see more options. 

Now click on about.

If you are creating your page username the first time then you will see create page username and if you are changing an old username then you will see an edit button.

Click on it.

Now you will see a pop-up window named create page username.

Type your username here

If your username is available you will see a right tick either you will see an error “you are not eligible or username is not available”

After that you can do some changes in your username according to you.

Then click on create username.

And your username will be changed.

If you still face any error then read that error notification.
